This morning at approximately 7:52 a.m. the Kern County Fire Department received multiple calls for a house on fire. The first arriving engine company was faced with a single family residence with smoke and flames coming from the side of the home and smoke coming from the garage.  An additional alarm of equipment was started due to the neighboring houses shake roof starting to catch fire. Firefighters made entry into the home where the fire originated and began to extinguish the fire, as well as perform a primary search to assure there were no residents in the home. Additional firefighters pulled hose lines to extinguish the neighbors roof, while making entry into the garage to find that the second structure now had an attic fire. As additional resources began to get on scene, firefighters were able to get both fires extinguished and confirm all residence were out of the homes. The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries as a result of this fire.
