At 12:22 AM, Kern County Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire with a trapped victim in the 23000 block of Arnold Avenue. A reinforced structure response was started by dispatchers. First arriving crews encountered a 900 square foot single-story home with flames coming out of the front living room. Firefighters forced entry through a gate and took a hose line into the home as they searched for the victim. As crews searched and worked to control the fire, the missing adult female was located unharmed in a separate travel trailer behind the home. The fire was extinguished in 25 minutes. Structure value loss is estimated at $80,000 and the cause is under investigation by KCFD Fire Investigators. Two adults and four children have been displaced by the fire (Red Cross assistance was declined). The four children were taken by Hall ground ambulance to San Joaquin Community Hospital for smoke inhalation. The adult male was flown by Hall Medevac-1 to San Joaquin Community Hospital with significant burn injuries.

Additional Information:  Firefighters could not locate a smoke alarm within the residence. The Kern County Fire Department urges residents to have a working smoke alarm and to practice home evacuation drills with your family.
