Just after 2:00 p.m., Kern County Fire Department received a call for heavy black smoke coming from the 7000 block of Trotter Ave. Kern County Fire Engine 14 arrived on scene to find multiple cement trucks and tires fully involved and exploding. Company 14 immediately called for a reinforced structure response. Kern County Fire Engine 14 immediately pulled jump lines to protect exposures which were propane tanks and a modular building. Arriving crews started to set up a tank and shuttle due to limited water supply. Fire was under control in sixty minutes. Because of high winds driving the fire, an estimated $700,000 was lost. Fire crews will remain on scene for a few hours for mop up.

Fire is under investigation
