Lost Hills, CA
The Kern County Fire Department Lost Hills fire station responded to a fire in a single family residence in the 21000 block of Fresno Street in Lost Hills. The first arriving engine encountered heavy fire in the attic of the house. Additional engines responded from Buttonwillow, McKittrick, Wasco and Shafter. A Battalion Chief responded from Taft. An aggressive attack by the first arriving engine contained the fire to the attic area of the house. Although surrounding houses were threatened by the fire, none were damaged. Three adult occupants escaped the home prior to fire department arrival and were uninjured. No firefighters were injured at the incident. The cause of the fire was electrical.
