North of Wasco, CA

At 3:39 p.m., Kern County Firefighters were dispatched to a house fire in a rural area north of Wasco.  Engine 31 arrived on scene and reported that a large residential structure was fully involved.  Two additional structures were threatened by the fire.  Firefighters attacked the fire and protected adjacent homes.  A wooden fence of the neighboring house sustained minor damage.

Firefighters were able to save both nearby homes.  The fully involved building suffered $150,000 damage, and a sports car was also destroyed.  Two adults and one child are displaced by the fire. No report of injuries to civilians or firefighters.
