At 7:30, the Kern County Fire Department responded to a report of a trash fire on S. Edison Rd. Upon arrival, firefighters found two “seatrain” cargo containers filled with household products fully involved with fire, threatening the adjacent office and warehouse facility. Crews attacked the fire while simultaneously searching the office facility for trapped occupants. Firefighting efforts were hampered by the lack of water supply in the area; however were able to draft from a nearby water tank. Due to the remoteness of the facility, and lack of water supply, the fire took around 40 minutes to fully extinguish. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and firefighters will remain on scene until all hotspots are extinguished

No injuries were reported.
