BAKERSFIELD, CA- The first engine company on scene was faced with a developing fire in an approximately 1200 sq ft single story, single family home.  The fire crew saw smoke coming from the front door, and once they entered the home, they found the house fully charged with smoke.  The crew quickly found the origin of the fire to be in the kitchen with the stove and cabinets fully involved with fire.  After quickly extinguishing the fire, the crew preformed a search for occupants.  All occupants had safely evacuated the home and there were no injuries as a result of the fire.  The quick action by the crews enabled the fire to be contained to the kitchen.  Two adults and three children were displaced from the home as a result of the fire.
