Mojave,  CA

On Monday, May 28th at approximately 12:39 p.m., Kern County Fire units responded to a report of a structure fire at the 1500 block of Meyer Street in Mojave, CA. Upon arrival first-in units were faced with an abandoned apartment building with multiple units on fire. Wind in the area was a factor that pushed the fire through multiple rooms.

A second alarm was dispatched for additional personnel and equipment. The fire was controlled in about 60 minutes.

Multiple Units were moved up to keep continues coverage in the Tehachapi, Bear Valley and Station Springs area. There were no injuries to Civilians or Fire Personnel. Crews remain on scene for mop-up.

The cause remains under investigation.
