Just before 5:30 p.m., the Kern County Fire Department received a call for a travel trailer on fire in the 200 block of McCord Ave. A reinforced structure response was started by dispatchers. Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved travel trailer and a tree on fire. An adjacent travel trailer was threatened by the flames. Fire crews deployed hose lines to protect the exposures and extinguish the fire. The fire was controlled in approximately 15 minutes and additional incoming resources were cancelled. One adult male was able to safely evacuate the adjacent travel trailer. The trailer that burned is reported to be vacant. KCFD Fire Investigators are on scene to investigate and determine cause.
