Structure Fire - Niles, Bakersfield

Fire crews received a call stating that the roof of La Villa restaurant was on fire. On arrival, crews found light smoke inside the entire structure. After an extensive search, a small fire was located in the attic and quickly extinguished. Firefighters then made sure that fire had not spread to any other part of the attic or roof. One patient was outside the building complaining of difficulty breathing due to smoke inhalation. That patient was treated on scene and refused to be transported. 

Additional Information : The Kern County Fire Department wishes to remind its citizens to always be aware of where the primary and secondary exits are in any building.
