Shortly after 3:00 AM, Kern County Fire Department received a call for a fully involved structure fire. Kern County Fire arrived on scene to have a back house fully involved with fire. Immediately a reinforced alarm was ordered. Fire crews started to extinguish the fire and also protected the exposures. No one was injured, but the home was a total loss. Red Cross is being notified for the displacement of the home owner.

Additional Information: The Kern County Fire Department urges residents to assure they have working smoke detectors. It is unknown if there were working smoke detectors in the various apartments. Please test your smoke detectors monthly.
